I have had 3 4 days in a row be rainy in fall.
The rain totem will not force the weather to be rainy on festival days or on the 1st day of a season.
On the first year it is always sunny on spring 1 2 and 4 and it always rains on spring 3.
From spring 5 and onwards the weather is randomized.
To activate a rain totem select it in inventory and use it right click with the mouse directly on top of your character.
Apparently the animals don t like it if you leave it open during the rain or during winter.
